| Boating Safety Schedule for 2008 |
One of the Coast Guard Auxiliary's cornerstone missions is to
educate the public on boating safety. Our classes will not only give you
valuable information, but they allow you to interact and work one-on-one with
seasoned boaters. Flotilla 46 offers boating safety classes for a cost of
$40.00, which includes the textbook and lunch. Upcoming classes are listed in

1 DAY PRESENTATION
- 8:00 AM 'till 5:00 PM
- Price: $40/person (includes lunch and materials)
- Held at the Coast Guard Auxiliary building at Lee Wenner Park in Cocoa
Village
- Many insurance agencies recognize this presentation, which is approved by
the National Association of Safe Boating Laws Administration and offer a
reduction in rates on your boat insurance.
- Each participant will receive a Boater Safety Identification Card from the
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Anyone 21 years of age and under who operates a vessel powered by 10
horsepower or more must pass an approved boater safety course and have in
his/her possession a boater safety identification card issued by the Florida
Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and a photographic
identification . A person is exempt from this requirement if there is a
person on board who is not affected by this law or is at least 18 years of
age and holds a boater education I.D. card. This person must be attendant to
and take responsibility for the safe operation of the vessel. For more
